Alsou Collection Alsou had finished recording her first English language song, when her manager told her that it had been chosen as the Russian entry at the 45th annual Eurovision Song Contest. Once she was over the initial shock, Alsou started preparing for event which was being held at the Globe Arena in the Swedish capital, Stockholm. On the evening of May 13th 2001, in front of 30,000 attending the concert and the small matter of 100 million TV audience, Alsou came second with the highest amount of points ever achieved by a Russian entry.
