Biography On Alsou Singing at someone's wedding usually has one of two effects. It either clears the dance floor quick, or provides amusing entertainment after a series of dull speeches. Except for Alsou, that is. Standing up at her brothers wedding, aged 15, in the summer off 1998 led to slightly different consequences. A guest at the wedding was so impressed, she arranged to introduce her to Valeriy Belotserkovsky, a Russian producer. By the following Summer, he was to become the manager of Russia's biggest star. Alsou's first single was a hit and it grew and grew with her being awarded album of the year for her debut album 'Alsou'. In the September of that year, she recorded a duet version of Enrique Inglesias's 'You're My Number 1' with the star himself.
