Biography On Alsou Singing at someone's wedding usually has one of two effects. It either clears the dance floor quick, or provides amusing entertainment after a series of dull speeches. Except for Alsou, that is. Standing up at her brothers wedding, aged 15, in the summer off 1998 led to slightly different consequences. A guest at the wedding was so impressed, she arranged to introduce her to Valeriy Belotserkovsky, a Russian producer. By the following Summer, he was to become the manager of Russia's biggest star. Alsou's first single was a hit and it grew and grew with her being awarded album of the year for her debut album 'Alsou'. In the September of that year, she recorded a duet version of Enrique Inglesias's 'You're My Number 1' with the star himself. It didn't stop there, with her signing to Universal Music in November 1999, making Alsou the first Russian artist signed by an international record company. ENTER HERE |
