Chely Wright Paparatzi My notice of her first album, Woman on the Moon, described it as being more traditional than contemporary albums in 1995. While not quite as traditional (no banjo) as Alison Krauss & Union Station, it was delightful. Great vocals with lots of feeling. Wonderful picking and a nifty Terry McMillan harmonica solo at the end of "Sea of Cowboy Hats." Ms Wright was selected that year as Top New Female Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music. Right in the Middle of It, the follow-up CD with a play on her name, was even better. Chely said those albums sold only nineteen copies (each, presumably), which places me, gt, in a pretty exclusive group. ENTER HERE
